Pep to leave at the end of the season

Think id handle this a whole lot better if someone like Enrique was replacing him. no offence to Enzo but its very very underwhelming

I think we can trust the club to get it right. The same level of success is unlikely but the investment, support and infrastructure is all there to help the next man succeed. And Maresca plays a similar style of football so the transition to his management should be easy for the squad to manage.

Its a new era, we need to give it time. Had Pep managed the league title this season it would have helped, we would all have been more patient. Pressure is likely to be higher, and less patience shown having gone 2 years without the league now. The success of Pep means we expect to win it more regularly than that.

Staying up late because I know when I wake up in the morning that this shit news is gonna be the first thing I see.

I think it's the right time to part ways for footballing reasons, but I would honestly want Pep to stay until the day he got us relegated.

And even then I'd want to give him the chance to get us promoted again. I was 21 and still at uni the last time we didn't have Pep as a manager.

So much has happened since then. We were perfect for each other and I can't believe he came to us at all. God this is gonna hurt.

You can google the opposite and find that too. All of this is subjective, from both sides. We are talking about opinions of opinions of opinions, of course it's subjective. But from what I know, most of their fans, Chelsea and Leicester, were enamoured with him... and damn well rightly so too!
Respectfully, absolute bollocks.

It’s crap mate. No point saying otherwise. It’s his choice tho and we have to respect that and wish him all the best. He gave so much to the club it will hurt and never be matched. A genuine genius and a decent human. Pep 10 seasons at little city eh? Amazing.

Very concerning that some so-called City "fans" want Maresca out before he's even been appointed. Doesn't bode well if he dares not to be as successful as Pep. Who needs enemies with "fans" as easily manipulated by the media as some appear to be.
Nothing to do with the media really and I don't find it concerning that fans have an opinion on the first new manager in 10 years.
There's nothing wrong with fans showing concern about us appointing a manager with no track record of managing a big club like City. I think we all had visions of a big name coming in when pep eventually did resign.
It's up to Maresca to come in and win the fans over not up to fans to leap for joy at his appointment.
Put simply we are a big club who are used to winning things and it looks like we are about to appoint a new manager who has won nothing.

If true all great things come to the end eventually and we as City fans have witnessed a fantastic 10 years of a genius in Pep we will have a lifetime of memories that other fans will never see in their lifetimes so I am eternally grateful that I was part of his time with the greatest team in the world. All the very best Pep in whatever you choose. Ps sign another contract

I don’t mean to sound heartless Bob and I’ve known you since you were a teenager, but you may want to step away from the internet for the night and chill out a bit.

all bad news at the minute int it?!
New stand.
10 seasons with pep.
New team emerging.
20 trophies in 10 seasons.
Unforgettable moments.
Destroyed rags/dips/arse/spurs
Tortured rag media city for 13 seasons.
In GPC’s lifetime.
Treble
4 in a row
Silva, kdb, argueroooooo

Next? Who knows but I think we be alright.

Pep probably stayed 2 seasons 2 long out of loyalty and love. We need to set a rocket up the squad. Still wish he was staying but we only have good memories.

No bad news really. A change is never good at the time but is sometimes needed and sometimes it will happen whether you want it or not.

City needs its fans and we need our club.

Buckle up tho it’s never straight forward. Now who stole our title?lets focus on putting it right next season.

Assuming it happens today, which makes the most sense, how do we think it will be played out?

Club release material before the presser, then Pep takes all the questions. Pep just does it at the presser, and club release material after. Or Pep does the presser without admitting anything, and the club release material after?

OR... Enzo Maresca just walks in and sits down instead like nobody would notice.

If there is one thing the leak may have actually helped with, is giving more preparation time with the grieving/acceptance process.

I think he'll wait until Sunday now
