I hope that today he answers every single question, no matter what it is, by simply going on about how much he's loved it here because in some ways I think that's the thing they hate the most.
Certainly they looked stupid with the comments about whether he could adapt to the PL. But they probably assumed that they'd still be able to fall back on his tenure as simply a souless corporate exercise in acquiring the best. But he hasn't even given them that bitter crumb of consolation. He went full Bert on them and became attached to the club in ways they just didn't envisage. It must really eat some of them up.
With the GPC it was always about him, with Pep despite their best efforts he's always made it about City. As it became more visible each day that he loved being here he extinguished their hopes that at least it would be over soon.
He just needs to sit there and repeat the phrase "10 years of mutual love" over and over and their heads will explode.
