Pep to leave at the end of the season

This made a grown man cry. How lucky have we been to have him here for ten years.. It’s the most painful farewell because he truly is irreplaceable. I cannot explain what Pep means to me. I cannot imagine City without Pep. He is Manchester City. He leaves behind a legacy that stands above it all. Thank you for everything, Pep.

Wonderful times, wonderful memories and I like thousands of other Blues never thought for one moment we could become this global machine.
A wonderful tribute from Pep to the club, players and fans who took this Catalan to their hearts and although gone (going) never forgotten.
Thanks from the bottom of our hearts Pep, you have given us more than we could ever have imagined.

It's confirmed by the club ans we know it's happening, but not in the way Oliver Holt believed. He becomes a global ambassador advising the entire CFG thank god. I've read his message which is Churchillian in its sincerity and in its appeal to the finest qualities of all Mancunians. Now we await and announcement of who is to be our new manager. But how we'll miss Pep.

Josep Guardiola is without doubt the greatness name in our club’s history.

Truly honoured his tenure has taken place from my mid 20s to my mid 30s. Can’t believe how lucky I am.

Used to be bitter my grandad got the Mercer, Book, Bell etc. era. But my kids and grandkids will be jealous of me, as unlike the 1960s and 1970s - what we’ve just witnessed will never happen again, not just for us, but for anyone.

Even more sad at the official news than I thought I would be. His message was an emotional watch.

I have been a big Pep fan since his early days as Barca manager and watched an awful lot of their games on TV. For most of his time there, the idea of him coming to City was a fantasy but then he left them and it became a dream when he agreed to go to Bayern and then, well before it was announced, a racing certainty that he would come to City.

I remember vividly driving a 180 miles from home with one of my daughters to go to his reception event (a special day I will cherish for several reasons). I never expected at that point he would stay more than three years. That he stayed for 10 and delivered so much success and wonderful football was beyond my wildest dreams.

Pep is the GOAT, of that I have no doubt. His City legacy unmatched and very unlikely to be bettered.

He leaves the manager’s role with my heartfelt thanks and best wishes for the future.

Gutted but excited

I would love him here forever and we all know it was going to be next year at the latest and we would feel no different next year.

Time to get excited for the future now and get behind the new manager. Every single manager is a "downgrade" on Pep, so let's not use that as a stick to beat the new manager with.

Glad I went to the fa cup final now. Greatest manager ever
regrettably i gave up my season ticket in 2016 due to my personal life collapsing after having one since 1989…..cant buy it back now and dont get there much (usually cos i dont want to pay £60 for a ticket)

anyway managed to get 3 for me and my kids in the new north stand….should be packed. Pep stealing stones and bernie thunder
