Pep Wants Nutrition Expert

My first question would be why on earth did we not have one already? Do we not have designs of being the biggest most successful club in the world? Did it really take Pep to come along to tell everyone diet is really important to performance of top level athletes?
Pelligrini, whilst not being a fat bastard himself allowed certain players fat bastard status based on their talent and it would excuse him from poor results disregarding our squad quality. Pep is refreshingly honest and it is surprisingly that stark and simplistic even with the money at our disposal how a new man in charge at the helm can change the orchestra completely.

I find it completely baffling that the club lacked a proper nutritionist and were eating pizza following matches. Even amateur athlete know the importance of refueling their bodies after a period of high intensity which I always assumed a professional match to be.
I cannot fathom how any top flight team doesn't pay attention to nutrition. It is negligent in my opinion and I can't help but think if the management was negligent with diet how strenuous and well put together could the training regiment be. This may help to explain all the muscle injuries our players have been dealing with the last few years.
I think you are right about all that. I would add that I don't think this speaks well about our players either. I mean you don't have to eat such crap food do you? If you have ambitions to be successful you should take responsibility for such issues yourself. They must have the mentality of spoilt 10 year olds, if they can only do the obviously right thing when someone kicks their arses. No wonder we played so poorly and fuck you to Pellegrini for allowing it.

Same as me. I'm stunned this isn't in place already. What the fuck has been going on for the last couple of years?

i, to, am baffled by the apparent lack of importance attached to Nutrition.
i honestly cannot believe it.
speechless.

The correct nutrition is fundamental to any training regime, its the most basic and important aspect of an athletes routine that will determine their level of preperation, performance and recovery.

I cant for one minute think this has been completely overlooked,as it doesnt add up........it's probably more a case of it needing fine tuning.

But like the contribution above, the players themselves need to take responsibility here, its their bodies and their careers - they should be all over their diets as it's one area that cant be neglected if being amongst the elite is your desire.

In an effort to be the very best, our owners have spent millions on every aspect of our club,so,its very disappointing, and very puzzling,to learn that this is still an area that needs improvement?

It does appear much of the last regime was stuck in dinosaur mode.

I think that pizza was kept on the menu just in case Baconface milled up and the players could all lob it at the ****.
