Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Good, he needs to be backed in. The team he has inherited needs so much of an overhaul it's not even funny. Of the current squad, Sagna, Zabaleta, Toure, Navas and Clichy , all need to be let go - they are past it and not good enough anymore. 4 of them started yesterday...

What about the same fuck you to the long term fans?

This is at completely the wrong time and without getting into what he did at Barca and Bayern, what's written in a book and what he should be doing, what have I somehow missed in the time he's been here that merits this? Factual answers only please, not blind optimism and God, do I want to be wrong on this.

So far, with the odd exception, the lack of the Emperors' new clothes is what I see.

Can i be the first to say 'fuck off with this shit'.

He's been here 6 months or so and has still got some players that let Mancini & Pellegrini down, he couldn't clear the whole squad out so has had to do it a bit at a time.

Major changes this summer, if not earlier and then we can start to judge him.

After seeing us v Barcelona, arsenal, rags and 60 minutes v Chelsea says we'll be better than fine once he's got in the players he wants.

With the possibility of being out the champions league next season will the top players want to come?

Lets hope Pep can use his charm.

Let's also hope we get new scouts too.

If this had been the last couple of times we had won the league we would be top by a million miles. Unfortunately Pep has chosen to come here at a time when I have never seen this league so competitive.

Quite literally anyone in the top 6 could win it, if it weren't for Chelsea going on a good run there would be 3-5 points between the top 6. When we last won it, it was us and United and then us and Liverpool, everyone else was miles behind. Now it is impossible to bet on the title winner because all of the teams are so strong.

It is not a good time to come into a team with the expectation of winning everything lets face it and a team especially in desperate need of a total rebuild.

Still, some of the football we have played has been absolute top notch, light years ahead of anyone else but we still need to iron out big problems in certain areas and also we can forgive Pep that he has never played or managed in this league before.

I am glad that he will stay longer, he needs the time and it will probably take just as long to sort it out, let's not forget that some key players in this team were signed by Hughes 6 years ago!!
