Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

so we are really wasting our last 2 years with pep as well as KDB’s prime years by having no striker? With European football on its knees this seems like the perfect opportunity to go for the champs league. In 2 years the landscape will be significantly different and the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus etc will be stronger
It’s mad isn’t it. Despite everything we’ve won with him, it still feels like we’ll end up wasting a portion of his time here.

We’ve enjoyed our most successful period under him. It’s not just pep though. There’s a structure in place that manages him and everyone else. I think the next manager will be the true legend. Pep is a vehicle to the next chapter.

It should be private with the club. Remember how shit we were before Pep signed his extension, due to the uncertainty surrounding the club? That is coming again in due course.
I’d rather know now than last minute

To actually fix the positions we are weak in. Benjamin Mendy got injured in Sept 2017, still no left back.

We tend to spend money on positions that are not urgent need.
We’ve had the best squad in the country until Chelsea this season.

10 trophies in 5 years with more on the way, it’s been the best time ever.

Cant believe you’re not happy.

we just need that CL.

Can’t see it
The next one will have massive shoes to fill

Does it matter? Are we so fragile that we can’t take a few hits every now and again?
Of course we can take a hit... most of us were here when we were shit FFS but the timing of this comment stinks with the kane tweet only a couple of hours ago.. If Pep was led into a corner with questions about this then he's a fool for not realising where the conversation was going... Naive to say the least

Honestly, if we dont win the Champions League in the next 2 years I suspect the owners will make the call regardless. Not that I agree with them, but it's their money, their decision. Shame his penultimate season will be played out without a recognised striker Though… classic old school City LOL

"until Chelsea this season" exactly, sorry for not being happy at the slow decline of squad quality, given only couple of years ago we were miles ahead of the rest.

I can only hope our players give it their all this season and the next. We would be heading for a major restructure in two years anyways with the squad. So I don't see this info impacting them too much.
Let's hope we have plan A,B,C,D for coach unlike transfers
