Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Meanwhile, Pep has the club by the short and curlies.
All good things must come to an end and this uncertainty is poor business practice.
He gets to decide whatever he wants, he’s more than earnt the right, anyone else and you have a point.

Or, he does a Fergie!
LOL

When the sad day comes and he leaves and only comes back to wave to the crown and takes his rightful salute. We don't want him hanging around like the pisscan stinking the place out.

Ineos have made the best decision possible in getting shut.

Agreed, and I’m sure Pep would rather play golf than visit old teams.

The point, of course, is that Fergie left United right as they needed a MAJOR rebuild, and it simply never materialized with the quality of personnel needed. United have floundered ever since.

Let’s hope Pep doesn’t do the same thing!

The rags and Fergie never learnt from their history and the situation with Busby, he did exactly the same and haunted all their future managers to the point one even lost his hair LOL

Fergusson brilliantly (sadly) papered over the cracks of an ageing squad and the short term signing of van Persie was not good for their long term future , in reality at the end of his tenure he was the cause of their glorious decline, he had too much power and influence and when he left their was a huge void.

I hope Khaldoon has put a 3 or 4 year contract in front of Pep, and the reason why he’s prevaricating is, because not over whether he wants to stay, but making that long term commitment. Any kind of extension is good but anything over 2 years is dream land.

You are mixing up business and the pitch. On playing criteria Pep has the right to gain a new lucrative contract. On business criteria, if he wants a rolling one year he can have it but a rolling contract has fixed decision dates in it in order to avoid this will he won’t he uncertainty. But but he cannot have it both ways, it affects the whole club. The players get twitchy, the new DoF needs to know, the Chairman needs to be clear if he needs to set a recruitment process in train and so on.
When is he going to decide?

If he hasn't signed by end of November think we will hear something about it by city! Can't see this being dragged out all season
