Don't agree. The solution to the Pep contract issue is a rolling deal because it changes the question from "will he extend?" to "will have ever grow tired of City?"

The status quo becomes Guardiola being our manager, rather than Guardiola being our manager for X years.

Good alternative view but new players might want security pep is staying longer if they are signing for us & turning down other big European clubs. I’d rather have pep is going but Alonso is our new man statement for new signings & that might be the case but we will never know.

Bollocks, 1 year is better than none. Part of Pep's repertoire to keep everyone on their toes

I would agree but we have too many players coming to their end at city. The club needs stability & so will new players coming in. I see at least 4/5 new names in the summer they will want to know what pep is doing

One year is no good for city pep needs to sign for 2 or go this summer for me.

He’s earned the right to go when he wants but it makes buying players difficult & keeping current team motivated. One year says to everybody he’s going in one year.

Pep is god but the club comes first & one year could hurt us more than help us

I think he walks at the end of this season if the Club World Cup wasn’t a thing

Pep signs 1 year deal until 2026 - pep then takes over from tuchel when his contract with England expires in 2026 - city appoint amorim who’s contract also expires in 2026….Thats my guess

The rolling contract is the best outcome. Plenty of wriggle room and gives us time to really find a replacement with the new DoF
