Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

RAWK are taking it well...

He's not really a genius. Could never do what Klopp did.
..........

Yeh that’s right. Could never do what Klopp did

Interesting tweet suggesting, again, great relations between the club and Pep. And it also suggests that Pep does not necessarily want to leave. It appears to be the case that it's not like he made a plan that he wants to leave the club. It appears that is willing to stay and that he is happy at the club but that there are other ongoing things that are giving him concern so that he kept/is-keeping options and alternatives open. And that probably has to do with the trials and stuff.

It is also probably the case that Pep himself doesn't know what he wants. Like he doesn't know where he would like to manage next. Nothing has intrigued him enough for him to get excited about it and make a plan. Seems like he doesn't like/want-to go to Italy. And there aren't really that many places where he could go. Would he go back to Barcelona is perhaps a good question. Perhaps he doesn't want to do that again.

I think we have 2 advantages with Pep. First being the Premier league is more challenging than the other leagues. I know he's dominated it, but apart from the Centurions season we've had to fight for the other titles and there's been some exciting close finishes to the season. I don't think he got the same heart stopping excitement in Germany and Spain as he gets here. I think the other reason ,is we hadn't won many trophies compared to the top European teams so he's made and is still making legacy at City that he can't do at the top clubs .I think he will leave for an international job, so I'm praying Brazil will start improving and win the next World Cup.

I'm very happy that Pep has decided to extend his contract. With a new DOF arriving soon, and with many players reaching their natural end with the club, some continuity seems like a good move. I would be surprised if plans are not already in place for the next manager's appointment, but I think it will be better to deliver that manager a more settled squad than may be possible at the end of 2024/2025. In addition, the conclusion of the PL cases will soon be upon us, and the stability he offers could be very beneficial amid the undoubted disruption that this will cause.

Had a quick browse on red and white kop and bugger me, it's like going down some insane Qanon Trump conspiracy rabbit hole, totally unhinged nonsense.

Pep has been kidnapped and forced to sign a contract against his will, apparently.

We deffo need someone to organise a "livestream" of their City forum on here the day we are cleared of 115.

Will be funnier than anything ever written before.........ever.

Plus any pshyciatrists here will be able to glean enough material to hold a convention.
