Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Really hope this is true because his record and achievements are amazing not just in trophies but in really helping reshape thinking and tactics. Some of the football this season has been awesome but at others we've looked no better than last season so time is going to be needed.
But in this day and age we have to be careful. For me CL is crucial for the profile and the owners do really hope we can make it.
Not a disaster if we don't but if we're out for any length of time as the rebuilding takes place others will get stronger

Good news if true. However to be out of the title race at the start of January and in a battle for 4th given all the fan fare is very disappointing. This is no better than Pellegrini's final season in parts.
One can't help but feel that the hierarchy have under planned and Pep himself has under planned for this season and all have made some errors. Problem he is too stubborn to recognise/remidy and we've got a clown for a goalkeeper and a somewhat of a Dad's army team. Lets hope we are better next season but everyone has a right to be a little disappointed thus far.
The worst thing that happened was that winning run at the start of the season. I was bracing myself for a tricky season - battling for 4th place again was my prediction - but after the start we got, everyone put the blinkers back on and started to forget the warning signs from the last two seasons.

The poor planning is evident, and I'm not impressed with that and the lack of youth opportunities, seeing as Pep is only on a 3 year deal and could now be off just as we start getting back to where we need to be. What a waste, if that comes to be.

My hope is that Pep really wants the challenge. That he now realises he has underestimated the task at hand and he needs to know the club depend on him more than any other club he has worked at before. I'm one of those that don't think it's all down to Bravo. He's not brilliant, but not the worst we've ever had - it's having the cast of Last of the Summer Wine on our wings and midfield that's the big problem.

Pep needs five years minimum.

If it happens, I would guess both may be true. I think it could well have happened anyway at some point. But seeing the job close up has made him realise the size of the job but made him more determined to see it through and prove himself, and pushed him to commit sooner than he would have done if it was plain sailing, when he may have thought he could acheive what he wants in the three years.

great news.....i desperately want to see him shove it down the throats of all those dickhead pundits like Mills, the MOTD lot and Sky sports in general......give him as much time as he needs i say!

I agree, the other thing that pissed me off yesterday is after Everton scored their 2nd goal we virtually just gave up and Pep just sat there with his arms folded looking like he didn't give a fuck.
At least with Mancini, despite his faults he was most of them time enthusiastic and kicked every ball. I also wheeled out a stat yesterday in that since 1995 we have never overturned a losing score line from half time in an away premier league game. We are mentally weak.

Slightly improved us , are you fucking serious. This must be a joke but it's not funny

we have more points then last year at the same stage and we've played some great football. stop overreacting and knee jerking. it will come good, it might take a a while though.

I'm not sure why you've chosen to post this sentence on a thread about him extending his stay?
