Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

He’s human Bill and makes mistakes yes I agree there but I wouldn’t swap him with anyone else. At times with his City teams it’s like watching Brazil
He does make mistakes and sometimes lose against teams that if he stuck to his total football principles we would beat comfortably.
We lost badly to Norwich away at the start of the season, terrible performance and tactics, yet did he learn from that defeat?
He seemed to keep making similar errors like that all season. Playing in mobile players together in midfield, exposing a terrible defence.

How do people actually believe this? You think these 50m players are only good because of Pep? They are quality players that will help us long term no matter who the manager is.

The way we are run now whoever is our manager think we will win trophies in the future but those two seasons where we got 100 points and the domestic quad will be looked at as a one of and when pep goes don’t care what anyone says it will be a downgrade look at the scum going through managers like fun since Fergie went spending a billion in the meantime how many title have they won since! How many trebles or point total have they reached? 50m players do not guarantee you any success it helps but it’s the settled infrastructure of the club and a manager that wins you trophies consistently over time.

Its bizarre that some think it's time for Pep to go.
This season it was made clear that liverpool were to win. The premier league has a plan for a different winner ever 6 years, this said by the than chairman. This was clearly used this season it's called VAR.
Given everything that has happened this season, to lose to a team that governing bodies bent over backs to help them. Given that that team throw both domestic cups again. We still finished second, 1 cup win, 1 semi final, and 1 quarter final. Our manager lost his mother to this pandemic. I was lost for some years when I lost my mother I struggled to keep a job let alone try to win .major honours at a football club.

Some of our fans are sounding like dippers and rags we should win everything ever year etc. Was I disappointed this season ? To a degree yes but in the grand scheme of things over the last 2 seasons no. But to live up to those 2 seasons is a big ask. We arent entitled to win lots of honours ever season.

Maybe we should pay record fees for keepers and defenders? Of course, klopp and paperboy work on a shoestring.....
I'll stick with pep, if I wanted Wimbledon I'd watch Liverpool but I'd watch our brand of football all day over that, as for winning the champions League, are any true city fans that bothered?

Liverpool got really lucky when they did win the 2018-19 Champions League(second leg vs Barcelona springs to mind). We could do with that kind of break ourselves

Bet the Sheikh, Pep and players are absolutely fine with no European glory because "true City fans" aren't bothered. Maybe we need some PR to help our fans understand the importance of progression in Europe for this club, given the stage we have now reached. How can you stand the fact that Spurs have reached a CL final with Pochettino, when in fact our coach and our squad is head and shoulders above, and we got embarrassed in quarters by their side. If that doesn't make our fans want better from us idk what can

Very lucky, they could have been playing in Europa League had Alisson not made the save from Milik shot in the Napoli game vs them. But then again, they also reached the final year before, where call it luck or whatever but Karius blessed us with that moment. Good teams have to force their own luck

Yes with luck like liverpool had in that season City would have won the CL at least twice VAR or bent ref'ing has made sure we havent won it so far, nothing to do with our managers
