Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

If behind the scenes he’s having a hard time, and there’s many reasons to believe this to be true, but he wants to be here, I think he deserves the full support of everyone. Even if that means this season might be up and down.
I want him at the helm because I still believe he’s the best man for the job. When I stop thinking that he’ll get my thanks and a goodbye good luck.
Seeing posters turn on him how they are atm is pretty grim.
Last year was a total capitulation from us and an embarassment
apart from the odd game here or there it was dire
he knew it ,the players under performing for us and him knew it
we knew it has fans, anfd more importantly the heirarchy
this season so far seems no different at all, injuries as usual he has had to accomodate but we have been like that for years
i think his time as come and everyone knows it

I for one do not relish the day when Pep does leave. I want two things for Christmas - 1. Pep signs a one year extension and 2. He sees the light and drops the fraud Mahrez who is by each passing game making himself and others look bad. Get Foden and Torres alongside Kev as your first choice players and we'll be fine.

When you say everyone do you mean a dozen or so posters on here?

I mostly agree with this, but I don’t think that any manager can be in a position to dictate to a club whether he stays or goes, regardless of results. Team selections, tactics are subjective, I disagree with a lot of them currently, but who the f*** am I. The more obvious issue to me is Pep‘s demeanour, apparently flat and deflated attitude. If he has run his course mentally, and given C19, his mum, working a long way from home etc., who could blame him, then it has to be the clubs decision, not Pep’s.

I dont think he likes his tactics are not that good anymore. Can he evolve and improve his own ideas? Will Lillo guy help him in any way to do that?
Does the players buy into these tactics same way they did few years ago. Also it seems to have changed since 17/18 and it changed for the worse especially more and more teams adapting and finding a working gameplan against it more often. Lyon game is still haunting the players and February is not that far for CL knockout games. Another Lyon can be drawn and this gameplan has not became better yet.

8 points from possible 15 is pretty bad start. That is 61 points over 38 game if we calculate the avg points on it. Certainly we will be above 61 points (if not then Pep does a "Moyes at United" season).

Looking around and seeing others struggle to get consinstent results too we should be even more motivated to get a big run together and put pressure on rivals early on but we become part more of the folllowing brigade with these dropped points.

Injuries need to be mentioned, regualr injuries every 3 days for different players. Are we really doing incredibly well in that department? Physios, doctors, fitness training. Is this the best they can come up with? Players hurt themselves every couple of weeks they come back and then out within 3 weeks again.

I don't think he will. Not sure I even would If I was him tbh. The world is very shit at the moment and it honestly looks like its getting to him and he's thinking 'what's even the point?' every time he sits in a press conference to repeat himself. I'd take my millions and go and live somewhere beautiful for a few months and recuperate.

I agree. I think this whole Covid shit has fucked football up and will continue to do so. I think he is frustrated by it.

I think Pep almost certainly goes at the end of the year. It’s very difficult to listen to him speak or notice his body language over the past month or two and think anything else. Our best ever manager by a wide margin, but everything comes to an end.

Built enough credit in the bank to finish the season. Think most blues would agree. Hard to see things drastically improving though, both strikes out injured while Mahrez and Sterling just look hopeless. No idea about the continued selection of Garcia which continues to cost Pep. Obviously not solely to blame but we’ve been knocked out of two cups, battered by Leicester and failed to win today with him in the backline. At what point do we say our side regresses with him in the team? We have a 50 million pound centre back on the bench just play him.
