Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Messi coming for 2 years then...it's stability at least but he needs to get back to where we were 2 years ago, we need a resurgence into a 2nd golden era of Pep not just tootle along miles off the pace for another 2 seasons.

Absolutley amazing news. Just fantastic. 7 years of Pep (at least). What a club we have these days.

I haven't always warmed to him, it took me a few years to fully appreciate him and his methods and I hated his unveiling but thats more a problem for me than a true indictment of the man.

Since then he has produced the most perfect version of football this country has ever seen and done so whilst retaining his dignity and professionalism in the face of constant sneering, carping, and criticism from the armchair experts in the media and ranks of ex managers and professionals.

The high water mark for myself was the solid, honest, and forthright manner in which he immediately stood up to be counted in the wake of the farcical and dishonest European ban from uefa. That was the most sought after and in demand manager in the world game nailing his colours and his reputation to City's mast. Publicly and proudly and immediately marked him out as not just our best manager but more importantly one of the greatest men to ever manager pur club.

Magnificent news today.

this is great news, gives us much more control over the management situation and shows we have a solid house with a happy manager.

I cant believe fans seeing the downside above the positives. To them I would like to say we have just secured a deal with the most sought after football manager in the world, pep has lifted more trophies than any manager over last 15 years. If he left city all the top clubs in Europe would be knocking on the door for him.
