Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

to hell with Pep.
I demand results and I demand them now. I don't care about a "project" or the "future". What does that mean to me here in the present? Nothing!
Building a dynasty is all very well and good but if I don't get at least one trophy a season I am going to refuse to renew and demand we replace pep with ... Well I can't think of a name right now, but you bet your bottom dollar I'll eventually think of a manager who's available AND better than pep!

We do need to win the PL next season......& the next....& the next....& the next.

I want CITY to create history now..... & we can !!

Some posters here act like Pep is begging the club to give him a new contract, and City are assessing the coach to decide if he's good enough. In reality, it's the other way round. And it was that way with both his previous clubs. I'm sure he'll stay while he's successful and feels himself needed, don't think that an official contract extention would change anything. Maybe incoming players would feel themselves more secured, but that's it.

Judging by an outside view, Pep can't be fired by the board as he has them in a pocket. The only person that can change it is probably Mansour himself, and he seems to be happy with Guardiola holding all the power.

Pep can be fired. Mancini won the league and was gone within a year despite the contract extension. He isn't unsackable. I wanted him and am still behind him; but was underwhelmed last season.

Liam Gallagher wants him sacked if he doesn't win a trophy this year, thanks for your knowledge Liam
Liam Gallagher on Pep and next season: "If we don't win anything then he [Guardiola] won't be able to stay."

"Pep made a mistake in getting rid of Joe Hart so soon. He shot himself in the foot. He should've kept him another season, especially with Kompany's injury. Without them two, there was a lack of leadership in defence."

"It is absolutely necessary to win the title next season, we cannot leave it to Chelsea again."

One issue that raised Gallagher's spirits was the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January.

"I love Jesus. He's great, damn. I love it," he said. "In the future, it will scare people.

"It makes me think a little about Ronaldo, because he often tries his luck. And I hate the w****** who do not try their luck. And he's aggressive."

He's entitled to his opinion.

Well he has got to show a huge improvement on last season. Not until we see this should we start talking about contracts, think Sheik Mansour is wise enough to keep his powder dry on this one.
