Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

He'll never say that in public but in private It'll be eating him up inside.

If you have ever read the excellent books about him by his close friend Martí Perarnau they go into detail about this.

His failures drive him on
Oh yeah. I'm not expecting anything public here but I just genuinely hope he says to himself, "I got this wrong," in his head. That's the key here.

No way he should go but he's the best manager we've had domestically. The manager who wins us the CL will be the best internationally.

I wouldn’t swap him for anyone.
If the Champions League was a "League" Pep wins it more often than not. But it’s not, its just another cup competition that requires some luck to win it.
Although there is no excuse for last nights shambles.

The Champions League isn't about being the best manager, it's about managing your team against who you're playing in the very few games you play.

We have to remember that no other team goes 1-0 down to Dortmund or PSG away from home and pulls it back but we did. If that had happened to Chelsea then they'd be out. We got to this final because of the way we've played all season. Chelsea got to the final because they managed every single game in a different way to get a result.

I said it last night but Tuchel took a massive risk in taking off Mount and others with 20 mins to go. If we had scored then we'd of won the game because the only thing Chelsea could do was to setup to get to penalties. Our game management wasn't like that though, we setup purely as we always do against anyone which is to score.

Prior to winning title this year I hadn't forgiven him for the bollock he dropped against Lyon. Title and cup made up for it. But he did it again last night. And as much as he has done for the club, wouldn't wanna get rid. But I wouldn't consider him to be the great as some in media make him out to be. Personally still think Poch and Klopp are slightly better coaches tactically. But overall wouldn't swap Pep for anyone out there.

He just needs a kick up the ass from the guys at the top of the club. So many poor buys and bad team selections.

Passengers:
Mendy - sell
Sterling - sell

Need to hold back on extending fernandino and buy an establish midfielder. I would go English on this. Cos we lack passion in that center.
