Ridiculous the club are letting a manager seemingly call the shots here. If he doesn’t want to extend now I firmly believe we should have mutually parted ways. Some fans act as if there isn’t a life after Pep but I would argue a season with this uncertainty and a potentially unmotivated pep is far more damaging,

I will be forever grateful for what he has done for this club but ultimately no one is bigger than the club and at times I can’t help but feel Pep feels he is doing us a favour being here.

If it's his last season and it's anything like his last seasons with his previous clubs, then alls good.

I said it earlier. A 1 year extension doesn't cut it and if that's what he comes back with when asked we should say thanks for the memories and move on.

He commits for a 2/3 year deal or nothing.

That window for Messi was key and it not happening has hurt everything imo.

No question. Having seen many of his press conferences, nothing out of ordinary much less revelatory apart from the odd format of confinement era press conferences

I did acknowledge that, he finds it tedious, certainly the inane questions, but he didn't give off the vibe of someone who was buzzing for the start of the new season, spending most of it, telling us all we have players who can fill in elsewhere.

He is playing it down.
Inside he is thinking how he can wipe the smile of the Goofball German and restore order.

Unless Messi arrives in the next few months, I don't see Pep extending.

It will take something of that magnitude to seemingly fill him with renewed zest for the job?

Listening to Pep there, while acknowledging how much he finds the whole presser thing annoying, he provided little optimism and enthusiasm for the season ahead.

He actually sounded a bit like Mancini in his final days, dissatisfied with his lot.

We seem to be sleepwalking a little into the unknown this season.

First time in a while that there is less confidence and certainty about how the team will actually perform?

I think his demeanour is his acquired attitude to the British press pack. His non-acknowledgment of the guy who started with a "hello Pep" and the pause for reciprocation that never came, he knew a narky question was coming

Nope, he hates it here and is doing us a favour until he waltzes back to Barcelona where he will live happily ever after.

I think Pochettino will be in the job this time next year.

Not that I want that.

Just seems like he's not taking any other job and waiting to take the City job when Pep leaves.
