Not what I said, Pep is the type of manager that needs to work with new players after a 2/3 year cycle, the players simply can't take his intensity. Saying that I am not sure he can either, hence why he had a years sabbatical after Barca.
Bernardo played CM when he was at his best in the formidables season, we hardly missed KDB, last year, he had few good games but when he did he was playing central.
He brings great and much needed energy to CM.
Ok I see. In that case what I'm trying to figure out is who you'd rotate out of midfield to be the CM you want to bring in? Assuming Gundogan.

I'd be happy to actually let Pep build a brand new team, from young players, provided he committed to doing it for a 5 year deal, even if it meant a couple of seasons without a trophy.
I know it won't be allowed, & fans, players would sulk, but I'd find it just as much fun as winning stuff.
