Pep's First Team

It was an odd season. Loads of later equalisers in home games.

The process of learning to play out from the back was as hard for fans as it was for Sagna, Clichy and Zabaleta!

I remember in the stadium everyone was clapping when we managed to play around any sort of press. It was night and day from Pellegrini but ultimately we dropped a lot of points due to the personnel.

Things started to click towards the end of the season when Kompany came back and Sane and Jesus were running riot.

At a guess:
-------------------Bravo
Sagna---Otamendi---Kolarov---Clichy
---------------Fernandinho
------De Bruyne---------Silva
Sterling---------Aguero----------Nolito

Just checked I'm not correct, not a bad effort though.
What was it now the OP has posted this thread and then given up on us all?

Hart
Sagna Watson dunne Wilson
B Silva de jong kinsey
Summerbee Jo Barnes

Won 3 1 from memory with Francis scoring 2 late goals after replacing an unusually quiet and ineffective Jo.
Jo - what was all that about

Me 62 and my son 36 (both lifelong City fans) were discussing City for a change the other day when we came up with what was the first PL team Pep picked at City - we really struggled and only got 7 ? No cheating now boys n girls can you do better ?

It makes me realise how good the owners have been and the infrastructure that has been put in place is. Pellegrini's signings almost destroyed the team. I appreciate he was only a caretaker and Yaya and Silva thrived under Pellegrini but....

Pep ousted most he did not want to keep. The only two he couldn't were Kompany and Aguero.
