Pep's Press Conferences - Watford (A) Post Match (Page 129)

It's what sells papers.

The standard of journalism in this country is horrendous, but the standard of person buying them really isn't much better.

He went off on a tandem a bit, talking about tactics/pressing etc. Now that's football talk. Not what the sun says about Aguero leaving.

I haven't bought a newspaper for over 10 years, but the people who do buy them are just as culpable. I play football with a lad who is still taken in by the newspapers, at 50 plus years old. It really does baffle me.
Did he look sweet?

Liverpool (H) Pre-Match:

Plenty to talk about in this one, Pep rightly is keen to avoid most of the speculation till the summer.

Saying on SSN that there won't be a mass clearout in the summer. It just isn't possible, according to him. No team has the money to get rid of 12 out of contract players and bring in 12 new faces.

Yes he said just because the contracts run down it doesn't mean they will all leave and many players will still be at the club next season, also he will try and improve the team and has been given total control to do it

bloody hope navas isn't one of them

But i reckon Kolarov might survive unfortunately (plus he aint out of contract). Man has more lives than a cat...he should have been well gone years ago...

As LB i agree,as a squad player for CB i think he will at least see out his contract, pep seems to like him

He's been one of Pep's quiet successes.
But as a leftie he brings something other CBs can't; and is willing to take a bit of responsibility with the ball.
Drives me flipping mad though.

Same questions from journos time and again about player futures.

How many times must he tell them no decisions until end of season
