Perseverance NASA rover on Mars

After nearly 300 million miles, our Perseverance rover completes its journey to Mars on Thursday, Feb. 18. To reach the surface of the Red Planet, it has to survive the harrowing final phase known as Entry, Descent, and Landing.

Only then can the six-wheeled rover – the biggest, heaviest, cleanest, and most sophisticated robotic geologist ever launched into space – search Jezero Crater for signs of ancient life and collect samples that will eventually be returned to Earth.
Feb. 18: We're Landing a Rover on Mars!
Tune in for live coverage and landing commentary from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) beginning at 2:15 p.m. EST on the NASA TV Public Channel and the agency’s website, as well as the NASA App, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitch, Daily Motion, and THETA.TV. Touchdown is scheduled for approximately 3:55 p.m. EST.

maybe you lot would like For All Mankind. It had a slow start and got some bad press for pushing an alternative history where Kennedy beat Nixon and girls got top jobs at Nasa, but it turned out to be a bit of a wet dream for armchair astronauts. I left the end of season until last week, and feel a right fool for not watching it sooner, gripping and always 100% technically realistic stuff. Great character writing too. Season two starts tommorow. Created by the guy behind the modern Battlestar Galactica, and Outlander.
