Personnel Message from CFL ref Ticker Tape event.

It looked great, nice one!

(I promise to make a bigger effort next time, I only chucked 1 bog roll and was made to pick it up by the landlord and put it back in the ladies.)

Nick, you should get in touch with liamctid and felixbg the Blue Alliance boys, this is the sort of stuff they set up for.

First of all thanks to all the Fans that brought stuff in to the ground today.

I nearly had an heart attack when the tanoy said about the rolls not being allowed in, this was something brought up today by the police, after it being agreed but I just couldn't do anything but ring the club while I was stood out side G entrance and see what was going on.

I stopped 100's of kids as I walked to the ground and handed stuff out, then me and the family and other helpers walked the entire 2 /3 rd levels giving out bags, one of the guys brought 20 yes 20 tesco bags, I was given streammers from loads of people to hand out.

The club did put bags and streamers across the whole of the EAST and NS front rows but by the tinme I went round people were removing them to other. areas, and to honest I am not bothered as long as they were thrown .

The club also had bags handing out out at all the entrances into the ES, BUT REALLY THIS WAS ABOUT WHAT I COULD GET THE FANS TO DO , yes the club did help with 1000's of handouts but in the end we made this happen and from 309 it looked amazing to be honest.

Like someone as already posted 'Brilliant' but it would be even more amazing at a night match.

The club told me they had a couple of supprises, I saw the new large flags pitch side, but to be honest I think we the fans made it today.

Tin Hat on if you want to abuse me but I will try anything, I I think it looked quite good to be honest if you were there

CFL

Please be gentle.

Great performance CFL, credit to you. If im 100% honest it wasnt as spectaular as i thought due to the police not allowing some stuff in, but in terms of effort, you caould not fault it. Next time, just a suggestion, i think the club should provide everything then it will be already inside the ground. Good work blue, you did us all proud.

Great idea! Yer get yer stuff as yer go through the turnstile. Stuff GMP. What objection could they possibly have to a bit of paper! From what they tell us when yer phone up about a crime, they're too busy, upto their armpits in paper!

Just Posted this to MCFC.

Dear ?????.

First of all can I say a massive thank you from the fans not only on 'Bluemoon' but those that don't visit the site.

Looking at the pictures that are now doing the rounds and being used as screensavers I think can say it was an amazing view to see.

Can you pass on thanks to all the staff involved in laying out so many bags and the helpers at the enterances in the ES. I was amazed at the amount of ticker tape the fans also produced and although the streamers do look good flying down from the upper tiers I think you are right the 'ticker tape' looks brilliant.

Since Sat I have recieved so many PM's and texts ref what if the fans did this for the Spurs game under the lights, how would you feel about it, I am not asking the club to provide ticker tape again although if there were any left over we would be grateful.

How would you feel if for such a massive 'last game' of the season I could pull something together, I already have people on stand by ready to 'cut' I would really just go for getting ticker tape done not streamers although I wouldn't say no to anyone. Defo no Toilet Rolls to keep it simple.

What are your thoughts, I know it causes a lot of cleaning, but we are talking the last home game now and the fans are already getting pumped up for this game.

What are your thoughts before I start anything, would you be happy for us to bring it in again.

Please drop me an e-mail or call me on my mobile and I will start it rolling if you aggree. 126 PM's tell me there is a lot of interest already.

Nick

Cheers Nick, and take a bow, son, take a bow. It looked fantastic. I've got it as my desktop background and I probably change my background once every sixth months or so, so it's gotta be good. Hope you can manage again at another game.

Well done Nick !
Cheers mate, Thanks for your help with the info, how did it look from the touch line?
Never been so worried that so many fans would be let down but once it started it seem to look good from 309.

Nick CFL

It looked excellent from the pitchside, I had to laugh as I saw you and your merry band of helpers climbing up and down on all stands and aisles. fantastic job and hopefully more will join in next time.

is there any photo's of it? it looked great from the third tier
I cheated mate, go on the thread 'Some pics from the derby' there are some classics, I just took a photo of it on my phone and copied it to the lap top, came out brilliant when I saved as desk top. Or just righ hand click and save as desk top background works a treat, looks great on the phone as well.

was a great effort CFL - thanks for keeping at it and pushing folks to get involved....good that the club added some of their own but it felt like a real fans effort which made it even more pleasing....

....and at least the guy on the pitch with the vaccuum cleaner will have a few bags saved up in time for the villa and spurs matches!

well done again....

I got my bog roll taken off me in east stand level 2. And after all the heartbreak at the end, I didn't even get it back. ;(

It was a great idea CFL, and it was good to see it develop from your idea on here, to fruition with the clubs help and the end result was brilliant.

Some people might not like it, but I think the overwhelming majority thought it was a good idea, and those who didn't expect it probably thought it a good idea too.

That's the sort of thing we need, ideas like this to get COMs more of an interesting place to be to watch games. Let's not go silly and play The Fratellis when we score, but stuff like this can only improve the atmosphere.

Top effort and ongrats all round for all involved.
We're sat North Stand lower and look great from there. If we are still in with a shout come the Spuds game then go for it.
The plod were obviously worried full stop about anything being thrown at a derby, but sod 'em.

Thanks for the comments, I am still in hiding from the 'cleaners' lol but well worth it in the end, and although it was an idea of mine, it was the fans on here that got it off the ground on the day which makes it even better.
