Can some twat from microsoft or adobe FINALLY admit that the two arent compatible and we might get something done about it?
2. Forums with 20 threads started whose subject line is 'Help'. The subject line should contain some information about its content. There are variants of this phenomenon, all of which render a forum practically meaningless at first glance.
3. Ads that appear in the middle of the content youre trying to read/watch. I know all about adblock and various other programs that help but thats not the point. ANY ads that appear in this manner have a complete and categorical effect on me that I will consciously boycott any product or services they offer.
4. ISP's who lie about the speed of your internet connection. 8 meg broadband should mean 8 meg....not 1.2 meg at its limit straining best.
Any more?
points 1 and 4 i dont agree with. I have never had any problem with flash plugins in windows. And as for the internet speed , you are supposed to know that your download speed will be approximately 1/8th of the advertised line speed.
Type flash crash into google and you'll see what i mean...millions of people are having the same problem...also...'youre supposed to know' doesnt cut it for me. If the ad says 8 mb unlimited broadband imo thats what you should expect, regardless of the small print

There are too many variables with twisted copper ADSL to guarantee a speed.
Also, what ragnarok says is sort of right, the 1/8th comes from the fact that your 'internet speed', if you like, is measured in MegaBITS (Mb), whereas Explorer, Firefox et al measure the file transfer rate in MegaBYTES (MB), and you guessed it, a bit is 1/8th of a byte. So it's less a case of 'your download speed will be approximately 1/8th of the advertised line speed', and more that people just don't understand the difference in the units used to promote things.
not when they sold it to me the fuckin duplicitous bastards

-- Aug 15th, '11, 21:01 --

BoyBlue_1985 said:bluetoo said:Ragnarok said:points 1 and 4 i dont agree with.
