It's the lack of info on the event that got me,they seem to have trusted the word of one man & the organisers, whoever they are, have put him in the shit by skimping on barstaff & ..............well you can guess the rest.

God you post some nonsense on here lads. As a match going home and away blue for 35 years I can tell you I used to know Mr Boyle quite well when we were both Union reps at the post office. We got on very well despite him being a match ‘going ‘ rag. I used to wind him up re Eric /Colin the king but he maintained he was simply modernizing the swamp version of their Denis (who sent em down) the King song. To be honest in those days more than just us sung that tune, even Wolves for the late great Derek Dougan sung it loud and proud.
I haven t seen in in ten years apart from once on merseyway in Stockport when he shouted and waved whilst driving past. We used to meet up very often with our respective other halves and children but I separated from mine and learnt he did from his, I was also living in London for a while as life moves on.
Apart from him being a rag, he is a decent bloke and although I know longer socialise with him I hate such petty half truths being peddled on forums like this. He went all over in the 80’s and has done his time for stretford so by all means dislike the guy for being one of them but no more lies for the sake of it.

P S re United s lads hating him I never jumped to that conclusion when I saw some of the guys he used to drink with including a certain half cast lad older lads will recall from battles from many days gone by!

Hi Pete.

Ho Ho. My son is a bit of a internet geek and informed me of the subject. I have actually enjoyed reading some of the stuff and topics but can t help thinking many are spotty kids with braces who have never toe to toed with United fans coming away from the swamp but enjoy acting hard on websites.

Seems to me he supported his team in the 80's when his team weren't winning.
Goes home and away.
Writes/adapts songs that fans sing.
Organises events when his team travels abroad.

Maybe i'm missing the point here but ain't what he does what most football fans want?
Can't think of a City equivilant.
