To be honest, I've always thought Tyler is on the side of whatever narrative Sky are selling. It's pretty pathetic to be bias as a commentator, even more so to be bias towards whatever your employer wants you to be bias towards. I didn't see the game today but in general, like you say, he's a cheerleader. This is, in my opinion, in complete contrast to how he was 10-20yrs ago if you watch games from the 80s - I can only conclude that he is playing to the crowd/paymasters
