Peter Swales Interview 1983

Sorry mate, I was probably being a bit of a WUM in the other thread, I just got on one.

Was absolutely amazed at how amateurish Allison was. The way he spoke to the players was odd, very little instruction or guidance. Bond obviously didn't like him because he used to belittle him, but was respectful. Swales actually seemed a bit scared of Allison too. Makes what's happening now seem so trivial

That's okay we all have our moments, myself included. Once we get entrenched it's hard to pull back.
I think Swales was a bit in awe of Allison due to his charisma and what he'd achieved in his first period with the club. He put total trust in him and to be honest most fans were excited at his second coming, myself included. Sadly it went badly wrong, much worse than anybody could have ever imagined. I got to know Tony Book and his best friend quite well years later and his best friend told me Tony felt badly let down by Malcolm. Just another chapter in our crazy history.

there's him chatting on some programme think when saturday comes along ?

their talking transfers and he say's "do you know who could do a job for us "
the lad we just let go this just about summed it up
That is a classic clip, such fuckwittrery is why he will always be a legendary infamous figure in our history.

His story should never be forgotten andnretold to future generations, like we still learn about Nero or Richard III in history lessons ;-)

Richard III is a pretty good analogy, with Franny as Henry Tudor!
