Yes, I vaguely remember Franny discovered some dodgy deals that Swales did almost as he left. Anyone remember?

Spot on, destroyed us the useless twat.

I backed him until I did a course where I learned to read accounts and being a shareholder got regular copies.One close season he ran a story about how much City were going to spend big (get ST sales up)and I realised then with my new found knowledge what a liar he was.We were potless.

My claim to fame is Wilfwild37 (RIP) and myself announcing at a meeting of FWF at Gorton bus station that we would not be renewing our season tickets whilst he was in charge. The FWF campaign said in a book later that this was a turning point and I still have the MEN headlines from that night.

Wasnt much better but at least Franny loved the club, Swales never did.

I stayed outside the ground whilst the minutes silence went on before the Liverpool game, wrong but he destroyed my club.
 
A complete and utter twat. Ruined the club from top to bottom. Not a single redeeming feature. Hate his memory and his stupid combover in equal measure. I will go to my grave with nothing but complete and utter contempt for him. I met him once at a Junior Blues meeting he was basically a forerunner of Peter Kay’s uncle nobhead. I stayed on the Kippax concourse at the Liverpool game.

I was on Sky's Footballers' Football Show on the road, Bernard Halford made sure i got a ticket, I was given a question to ask John Madock by Forward with Franny, Who signed Steve Daley? I also asked a second part, "Swales said we had a £6m transfer budget, having spent some of it how much is there left? He answered the first part but missed the second as they went to a break. I called Richards Keys, the host over, to alert him and he picked it up after the break, Maddock said well we dont want to disclose how much as it can arm negotiations. The next guy after me challenged him said well you bought a player for £2m so the maths are easy to work out why dont you tell us?
 
I remember going to Hull for the opening day defeat with my brother. As we walked up to the stand we noticed an oddly dressed guy in a suit and the craziest Cuban-heeled boots you ever saw. We had a good laugh until he turned round to face us and it was non other than our Chairman! He looked like a proper clown, an embarrassment to our club.
 
Talk back in the day he was involved with the quality street gang.

Most of the franchise contracts were companies owned by his mates I was told he renegotiated them all at ridiculous rates, the TVs around the ground were leased by a certain White & Swales at vast expense. He also bought a new Jaguar and insisted it was given to him Most of his demands were at the very last minute Franny came back from his winter holiday to finalise the agreed deal, which suddenly changed leaving Franny no option to accept, they met at the White Swan Bucklow Hill
