The £5 work was all done by Manchester cops ( particularly Jack Ridgway) Sutcliffe's wife gave him an alibi for the Hough End allotments murder that's why he got away with it.

I’m not blaming it all on George Oldfield and WYP, but they did make serious errors in this case.

And the £5 note scenario I’m going off what was said in a TV documentary, about them tracing the note to a factory in Bradford Sutcliffe worked in at the time.

Worked with a guy in the early 90’s (was over 30 years older than me, so he’s probably dead) whose name was Peter Sutcliffe-Brown. Found out after a few months it was previously Peter Sutcliffe and in 1981 he’d changed it by Deed Poll! If you’re going to change it ffs!

He should have changed it to Peter Phile.
