Petition to change the badge?

The only thing that bothers me with the new badge is the stars and the endless shit from rags about how meaningless they are....

the daft thing is if we had just 2 stars.... for each championship we had won.. it would have been fine.....

i know find myslef saying they stand for the 3 1st div champs weve won even though 1 was for the old 2nd division.. just dont tell rags that..

As I understood it the club, got permission long ago to use the coat of arms of the city during cup finals only and that the city itself owns the rights and grants them very infrequently to anyone.

the city coat of arms looks great but problem is copyright issues

the club want to use a crest that they can "own", thats why we had the change to the eagle and stars

i think that's why wigan changed theirs, they used to have the town's coat of arms

tradition in the past was for man city to wear the city coat of arms as a one off for cup finals, wonder if they would do that again if they got to a cup final this year
