Petition to re-open investigation into Hillsborough

I've signed it. There was alot of innocent people killed that day, and it was because of neglagence.

The majority of the Commanding officers in them days were in their 50's ......so what good is it going to do by trying to criminalise as 70 year old .....do want them locked up and the keys thrown away.......I just dont see the point of bringing it all back up again.........we know mistakes were made and apologies were also made by the police and the media outlets.

So the only reason I can see for this action is retribution and vengence against OAP's......or I say again is it to do with compensation ????

I could go on for ages about this.
I worked with a scouser who went to that game. He told me the same thing nearly happened the year before. He said that liverpool should've had the big end where as they were allocated the other for geographical reasons, the same as the season before.

1/ If it did nearly happen the year before the Police should've organised things better. However hooliganism was rife especially with the scousers, so the Police/organisers took the easy route out by giving liverpool that end of the stadium so the fans of both clubs wouldn't cross.

2/ When the congestion happened outside the Police should've asked for the kick off to be delayed for an hour.

3/ The Police opened the gates to avoid anyone getting crushed to death outside.

4/ If it did nearly happen the year before, the vast majority of the scouse fans would've been to that game as well, so why didn't they turn up at Hillsborough in plenty of time for this game?

5/ My heart goes out to the families and friends of the supporters killed. They were the responsible ones who got into the ground well before kick off.
