Number 17 shirt has been promised to Jerome Boateng it says in an article. I assume and I am 90% certain that means Martin is leaving for pastures new. I have been a huge critic of his but in all fairness he did represent value for money at £4.7 million and I'll never forget his performances under SGE. Good luck Petrov =)

Petrov has been a good player for us but I reckon letting him go now is ideal , we've seen his best form and he is injury prone . Good Luck Martin

Thanks for everything Martin but you ned to go elsewhere to play.

All the best and thanks for the committment.

When on form he was the best winger in the prem. top player. think him and bellamy are on their way and robbie will stay. Be a shame to see the other 2 leave. on their day both sensational

Was a fantastic buy for us even though he tailed off towards the end of his career at us he was still a very good player. Also was a bargain at £4.7 mil, i dont think we will get a player of Petrovs quality for that kind of value again. I agree its time for him to go now as he isnt good enough for a top 5 team

Thinkin about that will we ever pay 4.7 million or lower for a player ever again?

I knew id get a response like that but what im saying is that he was a bargain and a value for money buy, whereas Robinho didnt represent value for money. I know money isnt an option any more for us but i like to see us do good business and show that we are signing over priced crap. No i dont think we will sign another 1st team player for around 5 mil again but we are going to be targetting some top youngsters soon and they will command a decent price so yes i would say we will sign a player for that fee again but they wont walk straight in to the team

This is terrible news

you obviously didnt see MP play in his last few games for city - as much as I thought he was great he was absolutely terrible and lazy in his last 5 or so games
