It does but, even ignoring Erling as he is certain to win POTY, Phil is more serving of the award than Saka. The latter at slightly worse stats, much lower Opta Performance Index, and literally won fuck all.

Edit: checked and Phil is not eligible (one year too old at the start of the season).

Yeah, you are right. I thought the criteria was under 22 at the start of the season but it’s 21.

Still quite funny they gave it to Saka over Haaland, even if he is almost certain to get POTY.
