PFA Young Player OF The Year

I agree fully. How can a player nominated for PLAYER OF THE YEAR not win Young player of the year. It makes no utter sense. It's like a pancake won 'food of the year' but couldn't win 'Best pancake of the year'.

Absolutely stupendous analogy. I salute you

Kyle walker is gash.

He's no gash by any stretch of the imagination but he certainly has a lot of improving to do. His offensive play is a bit of a myth as well, he simply can't cross currently.

A strange position for him this season, on the one hand, our lack of any decent RB cover has helped him as he has been playing pretty much every game. But on the other, letting Charlie go has left him looking pretty run down at this stage of the season, looks like a really needs a break, like many of our players unfortunately.

Can see why he'd be a candidate for the young player PFA award though, good luck to him.

What exactly is Walker's strength? He's terrible defensively and hardly compensates for this offensively. He can't cross, he can't shoot, he can't take set pieces, he can't tackle, his positioning is poor and he seems to have a really bad attitude. He's lightning quick but that hardly makes him a good footballer, if he wasn't English he wouldn't have been even considered for Young Player of the Year.

Thats a bit harsh. Walker is a good defender. When Micah first started he relied on his pace an awful lot, just like Walker does. Now Richards has upped his game and is the best RB in the Prem for me. No reason why Walker cannot do the same but for him to win the Young player of the year this season would be a joke imo.

the fact balotelli was no nominated tells u everything you need now...

Do you like any of our players? You've spent more time propping up Falcao over Aguero (which is a ludicrous notion) and slagging Balotelli it's hard to see if you're a supporter or a media loving cynic.

Richards has being a much better RB than Walker and wasn't even nominated. I don't see how Chamberlain, Parker, Welbeck & Hart were nominated. Hart has had a great season for us and is the best keeper in the league IMO but he hasn't had to do enough to warrant a place ahead of the likes of Yaya, Vince, Lescott, Mata or Dempsey. Micah and Mario and Arsenal's goalkeeper should have been nominated for young player as well. The whole award is a joke, considering Bale won it last year with what, like 5 goals and 5 assists. Tevez had more than 3 times as many goals and more assists than him.

Dempsey has done well in a shite team this year(as Parker did last season) but only 2/3 years ago i remember some pundits saying he wasn't a prem player and never will be and should go back to the States! Anybody else remember that, or who was saying it?
