He’s a special talent though and I don’t say that lightly. We tend to overhype our academy lights, understandably I suppose, but this kid is different. He just sees the game a couple of steps ahead, you can’t teach that.
He has lovely balance and a great appreciation of space too, only injuries will stop him from becoming a really big player.
Best English talent since Rooney. There, I said it.

I haven't seen enough. He'll have to be special to break into our attacking 5. I hope he does. We badly need a home grown product.

I dont think it will be a problem. He is ready made for Pep style football and we are looking to go deep in 4 competitions yearly, he'll get plenty of game time even if most of it is relieving silva after 70 minutes (to start with)

He's got only Bernardo, Silva, KdB, Gunda as straight competitors. Silva is old, Gundo is a crock, guess both will leave in approx. 2 years, Bernardo needs moulding. It's not an overwhelming competition. I even think that adding another readymade 8 in 1-2 years wouldn't hurt us.

I clearly remember Xavi and Iniesta developing and getting their first minutes in the 1st team, and think Foden is a talent of the same quality. Whether he'll fulfill his potential is to be seen. But you can't ask for a better environment than he has now with Pep's presence.
