Harry Winks played 35 times for Spurs last season and in 15/16.
23 were sub appearances. 15 of those were <15 minutes long. 7 were in games Spurs were winning by 2 or more goals.
9 of the 12 starts were in the EFL cup, FA Cup, Europa or a dead rubber CL game after Spurs were already going out.
He was eased in, slowly getting used to the pace of senior football, slowly getting used to playing with his teammates, and earning Pochettino's trust. Now a year later he's pretty much a senior player, picked to start in both Madrid games and performing very well, a bit timid in the first game, but very influential in the win last week.
