Ok we have a difference of opinions, and that's what makes a football forum. I wasn't trying to be negative as I feel how this has been turned into, just that after reading the replies, as usual many have got giddy
If you say tomorrow is Sunday and I say it’s Thursday, it’s not a difference of opinion. It’s just one of us is demonstrably wrong.

Good start for the young lad. Hoping he gets another 8-10 appearances this season.

I think 5-10 appearances at 17. 10-15 at 18 with a few starts and then as he hits 19 be ready to be considered and rotated.

We need to keep the pressure off both the lad and the club. 17 is very young still.

He is also still physically very small to be playing a full 90 minutes. I know he is very strong for his size & very brave but the premiership is a very demanding league & can put a lot of stress on still growing bones.

He has the engine and skill to play now in premier for a full game but the players in front of him are season pro’s so the best he could hope for is getting on the bench getting 10 mins here and there.
No chance. Having the energy to play 90 minutes in an U18's tournament, even in heat is not comparable to playing full games at mens level, especially in a league as physical as the premier league. Even Loftus Cheek is struggling with it and he's twice Fodens size with heaps more experience playing at higher age groups. We even expect experienced players from foreign leagues to struggle with the pace of the premier league, yet we expect a tiny 17 year old to be fine with it? It's just not realistic. Maybe he could start a game and play an hour, but it would be incredible if he genuinely is fit enough for a full game

Nowt to do with size it’s stamina either way we won’t know until he actually plays 90mins in premier if he is can cope.

If you are constantly in physical battles with people twice your size, you are going to get tired a hell of a lot quicker than if you are playing against people your own size. He'll get the strength in time with experience and physically maturing(as Brahim has done), but you cannot ignore the complete gulf in the physical difference between kids football and mens.

Yeah fair point
