Phil Foden - 2017/18 performances

Love this from Foden. The fact it's against Herrera, the biggest shithouse in the United squad, makes it all the sweeter.

The Inside City revealed that Sergio has taken him under his wings and Phil is very appreciative of it. During his interview Sergio came over to congratulate him, and it was obvious Sergio is fond of the lad.

It seems the seniors are seeing what we are seeing if Phil. He needs his chances this season and the senior players are up for some tough love mentoring.

Sublime. He has to stay with the first team and be a backup for CM/AM, as well as play in the cups. It'll be better for him than going out on loan. If you are good enough, you are old enough.

As Frank Gallagher would say... 'he's gonna be a star'...

I'm not getting too carried away with Pep's praise though. I remember him giving Maffeo and Angelino pretty amazing plaudits last year and they've been nowhere to be seen.

It's important that we don't get ahead of ourselves here, all I'm saying is that he's at least as good as Messi.

Just how can you differentiate between Rags, Herrera or Roja or the spitting elbow, so the biggest shithouse competition in that squad is of the highest calibre and really to hard to choose, I vote we just give to them all, the dirty rag scummers.

Elbows for me. I fucking detest the lanky coward and would love the opportunity to knock seven shades of shit out of him

Anyone else get the feeling that the fact that that display came against the rags has done the lad a favour? Against anyone else there is no way the BBC (say) would have been all over his display in the same way - probably wouldn't even have seen it...

It's only one of a few factors, but it seems to be a perfect storm.

He'll definitely get more of a chance in light of Sancho's accusations that the academy players can't see a way into the first team.

Now Neville's comments will cement it that Foden will be pushed out as our shining academy product.

If he can capitalise on the events causing him to get a fair shake, then the sky is the limit for the lad.

Bodes well for the season that he's been involved in the away kit launch. Seems silly to launch it with his face then hide him away in the academy or out on loan for the rest of the year.

I hope he starts vs Madrid. He can become a world class number 10. Decision making is what separates good players from GOATs.
