Where we upto with his contract renewal? Seems strange how it was talked about pretty early in the season as being wrapped up and just a formality whereas it’s now over half way through the season and we’ve heard nothing.
Its already been stated that his closest advisor passed away only a few months ago. No rush as he wont be signing for anyone else.

You have to think his wages are jumping up FAR more than any other renewals so I imagine that factor makes it a bit more complicated to get done. I hope the club isn't playing too much hard ball with him and his agent though. He deserves whatever he's asking for.
Doesn’t that depend how much he is asking for?

Nope… Let him give us any numbers he wants and get the contract signed..
Yes I can see that having no impact on the lines of Kdb. You really think that’s how we run the club? I know it isn’t, the players no it isn’t, Phil knows it isn’t, there’s just you that doesn’t

Agree with the sentiment , although i could never envisage Phil being confrontational about a contract with a club he has been with and loved for 15 years , he was recently valued only second to Mbappe as the most desirable player in europe , and his contract offer should reflect this.

I reckon Phil would sign a 20 year contract for the basic national minimum wage if it meant he could play football for City under the management of Pep Guardiola...

JJ
Not bad for a lad that needed game time at a lesser side/lower division.

How long before the same shite is being regularly peddled about Palmer?

Same goes for McAtee , Pep made a big mistake when he could have sent Phil to Preston North End for a good kicking in the Championship , instead he decides to let him train with players like Yaya,Merlin,Vinnie,Dinho and look where he is now , clueless :)

I know.
Pep's a clueless fucker, and should've listened to the sage advise of Murphy, Redknapp, Crooks and Warnock (S)
