To be fair, Fred West was a decent builder so I’m not sure why the Beeb are getting so much stick.

Had a habit of ruining things with that wall of sound, an example being Harrison all things must pass lp, who h is still a great album in spite of the wall of sound. May have been good at the time but hasn't aged well imo

Agree. Been revisiting old classic albums during lockdown - and All things must pass is over-produced. The stripped down versions on his outtakes album show the original beauty of the songs.
Spector’s early work, especially with all female groups, was groundbreaking ... but what a f****in wrong ‘un! Not too many tears will be shed
