I got the call and was asked my post code and date of birth, to check the call was genuine I asked him what the last four digits of my card number were.
He said the card expiry date had been omitted from the form which was why they were having to contact people.
When I said we have all these millions at our disposal and can't get a simple thing like this correct he burst out laughing.
I kid you not I am extremely worried what the season will bring as we still seem to have a bunch of complete amateurs running the club.

Yes, I got the call this afternoon. The guy asked my post code and DOB. He asked for the expiry date but I said I wasn't comfortable with someone requesting my card details over the phone- he gave me the number and options so follow so I can call back tomorrow, confident that it is genuine.

There was no deadline given.
It would be reasonable to assume you can still apply.

I got the call also, was happy to give the expiry date cos if that's all they ask, what can they do with that? If they have had staff ringing for that all day, the person responsible for the misprint is going to get a caning! What about all the one's they can't get hold of? Good job our first fixture is away at Palace or they'd be shafted already!
