Phone lights during match

Young people doing young people things. Happens at Ed Sheeran type concerts too.

It doesn’t stop us older people wishing there was a Squid Game type sniper to take out every single light out.

That makes me think. Can anyone explain the acronym FOC to me? It seems to be in use on this forum and this forum only. I've never quite known what it was.
I suspect, however, that you may be one. And I may be another.

Fun? Fun???? No ones allowed to have fun. Bastards

Yeah, who cares. If its adds anything to the night then so what. My 7 year old enjoyed it after being bored to death all game
What age did you first take your lad to a game,a few mates took there's at around 5,6,7 and they subsequently lost all interest.
Left my lad till he was 10 before I took him when he was almost begging to go.
Probably have to accept that all the external stuff will be helpful if it keeps the young uns interested.

Started at a Texas A&M football game, apparently, about 6 yrs ago, then did the rounds at college night games.

More recently, clubs did the 70th minute celebration of QEII’s 70 yr reign in the 70th minute.

Now, it seems, some people start it and it seems to make others do it.

On a wet & wild Kate Autumn night at the Etihad, during dead rubber match, it appears a few people wanted to have a bit of fun.

That’s all I’ve got. Anyone else?
Nah, City did it first at York away with lighted cigarettes.

Let em get on with it. South Standers singing ‘what the fucking hell is that?’ it’s never gonna change. 20% of L3 East were new fans.
Heard the chant, hadn't noticed what prompted it. Can you get a half and half phone torch?

Wow, fashion in what happens at matches changes. Go with the flow. If it isn’t hurting anyone then where’s the harm? :-)

Just be thankful that you can still get there and watch the games. Enjoy the football from the Best Team in the Land and all the World. :-)

JMHO.
I agree, although the miserable FOC in me says what the fuck is that all about. The lad in front of me (not the usual season ticket holder) literally stood up in front of me to do it, so he got a grumpy old man telling him to sit the fuck down.

Now that I agree with. That is spoiling someone else’s pleasure. :-)

Don't blame him! You are trying to watch the game and someone jumps up directly in front of your seat to shine his torch on his phone for no apparent reason ? I'd ask the same: What the fuck is all that about? But then again I am an FOC. I love the laser show but can't understand what the smoke is all about.

Like most of the CL group matches, last night was one for the tourists.

Never really notice the lights (am in SS1) so tend to be looking down at the pitch not up at the stands. If it keeps people happy leave them to it (I can imagine when lots do it it looks good on TV)

Doesn't really bother me. It's better than sitting in complete silence, twiddling your thumbs.
There were some school kids behind me starting off "I believe that we will win", in the 90th minute when we were 3-1 up haha. Great effort from them. The club just needs to get them in the South Stand so they buzz off the atmosphere a bit more.
