I can understand City doing something in the year 2019/2020 to commemorate the 50th year anniversary of their European win in 1970 but seems a little silly to start doing it in 2016/17, a few years too early and a little random.

At the end of this season it will be 47 years since we won the cup winnners cup. 47 is a prime number, which are special numbers within temperance movements, one of which we derived the name of our former stadium from. All Manchester City's major anniversaries fall in prime number years, rather than the usual, 10, 20, 50, 100 yrs other clubs may use

The 68th minute is when Celtic do it, just like Villa did that 20th minute Petrov thing as he wore number 19, and city did the tribute in the 25th minute to Neil Young scoring in the 24th in the FA Cup final.

That's wrong about the Boro fans.
They don't use phones, it is their natural glow from living in chemical alley along with having 2 heads.....
 
I think it was the fans trying to take the piss. A few lit up phones amongst all the empty seats to make it a special night...hahaha
