Photos from Google Earth

Someone once posted Google Earth shots of a field in Cheshire that appeared to contain sections of the roof from the main stand at Maine Road.
I took a drive past and they were still there. Certainly looked like the old corrugated style roof but I couldn't make up my mind whether the arches were big enough to have actually been the roof.

I remember that, it certainly looked genuine and it brought a little lump to the throat.

It's not our oil fields is it?

Well it's in Saudi so probably not. I found this a few years ago well before the ADUG connections... But the place is enormous and it's one of a few in the desert out there, you can see the pipelines going hundreds of miles across the desert.

Anyone got any more?

I'm afraid my knowledge of Middle-Eastern oil refineries is, how shall I put it? .. 'somewhat limited.' ;-)
Great pics tho.
Just watched a short documentary on Youtube about the Saudi's building that place. Fascinating stuff.
