I saw that tour (Opera House, Manc) my first ever gig.

OB1. I saw Sweet as a three piece too...Liverpool Royal Court. Cracking gig, as all three could sing well, but not the same without Connolly....

Some might say Queen nicked their harmonies from Sweet! I think I saw Sweet at Nottingham Boat House; it was definitely a small venue somewhere around 1980 I think. They were good but not same..., as you say. Always liked their live album.

Mott with Queen is another of my top 10 didn't see's. I've seen every Queen tour from (and including) Night at the Opera, including with Rodgers and Lambert. Also went to the Freddie Tribute concert at Wembley, which is one of my favourite gigs.

Didn't see The Hoople until they played Hammersmith "recently"; will be seeing them later in the year.

Rod Stewart magnificent in his hayday but ?

Rod Stewarts latest album , entitled 'Time' , proves he's just as good as he ever was.....

the single 'It's over' is a throwback to the quality of his best days , and is magnificent .

I went to Hawkwind at the Apollo and missed Meatloaf at the Free trade Hall, dropped a bollock as I had seen Hawkwind several times, oh well.

I would've loved to have seen The Smiths and I won't be alone with that one.
