mint story that mate. glad you enjoyed it. what was the atmosphere like?

it was alright, i chanted c'mon city in a sea of mexicans, who cares though, they just thought it was funny. AND LET ME SAY THIS, IF YOU THOUGHT VUVUZELAS WERE BAD ON TV, HEAVEN FORBID YOU HAVE TO HEAR THEM IN REAL LIFE. I wanted to shoot my face off because of those things.
how many city fans were there? you been to eastlands before? and are you thinking of going at any point?

Garry and his wife are great ambassadors for the club. And not just genuinely nice, but world class as leaders representing the team we love. Garry has brought a substantial level of professionalism to the organization. Building a sustainable organization, with deep roots at the community and youth level, all the way through its communications strategy, and yes, to making good long term choices around the team. The press paints a picture of how decisions are made, because it's easy to appeal to a lowest common denominator with tales of incompetent people throwing money around. In fact, we are building on the history and heart of the club, and aggressively investing in success on the pitch.

I for one am very glad that we have the CEO that we have.

I wrote a post a while back explaining how I became a city fan. In short, I used to watch city play on spanish tv growing up and fell in love with them seeing such games as the Wembley final and others. I am kind of quirky person so I was really attracted to cities self-degradation in their humor. I just slowly fell in love with them. Then when people like Claudio Reyna and demarcus beasley were playing I fell in love with them even more. Its just been a fun ride. I haven't been to Eastlands yet but I am planning a trip to come for about a month and see 4 or 5 games possibly at the end of this year, but more likely at the beginning of the next. And to your question about how many city fans there were, i'd say I saw only about 100 people wearing city gear lol.
