Just booked a couple of seats to watch the film, Edge of Darkness, anyone seen it and was it a good film, went to watch Avatar for the 2nd time yesterday, even better 2nd time round.

"pictures" ..... use that phrase myself but my kids turn around and take the micky..... "do you mean the cinema ?"
Its worse when a mate of mine calls it "the movies".... I have to retort with "you're not in America now, its the fucking pictures where I come from"

Work colleague has seen it. He said it's the worst film he's ever seen. I'd take her to Spud u Like if I were you.

Just checked IMDB and it seems to have done pretty well going by user ratings. And they usually slam most films. Let us know how it was!

It's a pretty poor film according to the critics.
For the record, Avatar is the most overhyped film in history. It's a 7, maybe 7.5 at the most. Avatar is too long and doesn't evince enough emotions. However, it is quite literally on another planet with regards to Cinematography.
Also, it will always be known as 'the pictures' in Manchester.
