The way i look at it us that if we lose sergio for any extended length of time then we lack depth. We have kelechi but he is still learning and we would struggle with him for an extended lenght of time.
Then look at the transfers mooted. Nolito, aubamayang and sane.....the only one that looks anywhere near the quality is aubamayang....the rest are wide players who at a push can play as a forward whereas aubamayang can and already is a goal scorer.
We know that at some point we are going to lose kun to injury. Aubamayang is the only one so far with the quality to replace him.
And no sterling is not the answer...And i like the lad and dont think he deserves any of the stick he is getting
We're running out of players to lose interest in.
Auba
Pogba
Kroos
Sane
Isco
This list of players we have no interest in increases.
I think it is Sane that ends any hope. Nolito is done it seems and is just waiting on these two. I think if we had our choice it would be Aub and Sane but only at the right price. Nolito and either of the two gives us what we need. So if Sane really is making up his mind tomorrow I expect he either comes and we give up on Aub or he says no and we pay the asking price for Aub.If we get those 2. Then i'm pretty much 100% sure it's dead. The math just doesn't add up to us signing Auba too. So Nolito ends any hope of this happening.
Does anyone think the pound rate changes on Brexit result and the club saves 5+% on the fee ?
