Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

There was definite interest earlier on in summer, including talks with his reps at CFA. Dortmund refused point blank to sell though, and haven't seen anything to suggest their stance has changed since then. The fact that only The Express are reporting it is telling.

Sounds about right, the Express are probably the least reliable source I can imagine at the minute.

I can see City lining up Sane alternatives to increase pressure on Schalke. I just don't think Aubameyang is one of them.

Would Dortmund let yet another player go? They'd be a laughing stock to their fans if yet another jumped ship.

However, it would be pretty amazing if we got him or another top tier forward. Aguero and Nacho ain't enough considering Aguero's injury record - saying this, the idea of Nacho having a solid string of games up front would be bloody fantastic

Reports are that Dortmund are close to signing Mario Gomez. I didnt think we'd have any chance of signing Aubameyang this summer but the Gomez news makes me think its still unlikely but maybe possible..

Ahhh, we can ask the question at least and I'm sure we will do. I'd be pretty certain they'd tell us no still but always worth enquiry

Dortmund have made some tidy signings which will appease their fans. Gotze has gone back there, Andre Schurrle has signed as well.

Staggering how they can lose their best players and still look so strong.

Edit: also signed two of the most exciting young players in Europe too in Mor and Dembele who are both forwards as well so they're well stocked!

Actually I think BvB have had the strongest Summer so far. They've lost a plethora of top stars yet arguably replaced them and more. My in-laws are all Bayern season ticket holders and the general mood there is concern that Dortmund could well get the better of them this year.

What this means for Aubameyang, I don't know. He personally seems to be open to a move, but his preference has always been Madrid. Further, I feel Pep has always been more interested in Sane anyway.
