Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Anyway, ID rather we had his speed on our side than with anyone else. Especially notw/ Mou and the Cunts. But I don't think he is WC. I think his technique is iffy. And so is his passing. That said, he is a ridiculously fast tall and strong lad with an eye for goal.

Many wouldn't like the comparison, but I think he is a rich man's Vardy :)

And in fairness, I do think he'd fit best at Madrid, so I hope he doesn't go there and come to us instead
Similar view of him for me, not a top echelon player in terms of technique & natural ability albeit still good, but his pace & power combined with his decent heading ability make him a proper threat.

Have said for a while if we're in for a striker it needs to be someone who can play wide, and Aubameyang fits the bill nicely.

I'm not a huge fan to be honest. Seen him in the Champs league and Europa league matches and was left a bit underwhelmed. Good player but for the money I would want another Aguero. I just don't think there's another one out there. And who would be willing to play second fiddle to him?
However, as pointed out above, I think Pep likes a flexible forward line who can play a variety of roles and he definitely fits that bill as does KDB.

Speed merchant not a great finisher. No thanks

40 goals in his last 44 starts...the guy can finish mate!;) nearly 6ft 2....so can give us a better threat on corners/crosses and the speed/pace to be a world class winger.....If we going to pay 50-60mil on a player this window, I'd be happy if it was this guy.....

So what are we expecting to see from Pep for these links to all make sense.. 4-3-3 with Sterling and Aubameyang either side of Aguero with KDB playing just behind? Pogba and Gundogan just behind for the we'll score more than you approach.

Apparently Mkhitaryan rejected the new contract offer from Dortmund. So if all their stars are leaving maybe Aubameyang is also thinking it is time to secure a new employer.

I can't see Dortmund letting him go especially if Mkhitaryan goes. Gundogan and Hummels are already good as gone. Dortmund don't strike me as a team that would let all their players leave at once. This is the same club that let Lewandoski wind down his contract instead of selling him just to hold onto him for another year.

So letting him run down another yr of his contract and keeping a player that wants out lessining his is value is the way dortmund should go? If he does come in I see him playing wide left with kdb wide right in a 3 or in a 2 with sergio

Christ I hope we are going balls out on this one. It is difficult to put into words how much better off we would be with him in and Bony gone. Suddenly injuries to Sergio wouldn't feel quite as catastrophic.

+1

No idea though if he's going to be sold, and if so, do Real/Bayern want him, etc. Be great to sign him IMO but it kind of seems like a long shot.
