Outrage machine is a good description of it. They always present some outrageous lunatic's views as a purported foil to other invited commentators. If it's a political discussion, some far left/right no mark will be offered up, instead of a more recognisable, balanced individual, and those two fronting it are getting more and more hysterical and strident.

The government have tried to crack a nut with sledgehammer.

I believe the virus has been around long before they say. All this stripping people of human rights, telling people they can’t see their family and all that bollocks is insane. People are actually willing it themselves.

There was an article going around last year that 650,000 people died from the winter flu. Where was the draconian measures then? Something doesn’t add up.

Don't agree with Corbyn at all, but you do make some good points, and what you say isn't restricted to our govt, there has certainly been a worldwide reaction that, in hindsight, is looking like overreaction. If I've read it right, worldwide deaths are less than 1 million, which can hardly be described as a pandemic, the Spanish flu deaths are estimated to be between 50-100 million.

You’d think this is worse than the Spanish Flu the way they government and media have been scaremongering. Millions of old people especially, like my grandma are terrified of even leaving the house. The lockdown measures are causing way more harm mentally to people.

In reality it’s no more deadly than the flu. No wonder people are becoming conspiracy theorists.

If it’s so contagious, why aren’t supermarket workers dropping like flys? All have worked through the lockdown and hardly any wear masks.
