The moderators and twitter brigade did what they did best and no doubt asked him to apologise and his employer agreed.I didn’t watch it, but Piers had an opinion and as a presenter he has the right to give this. Suzanna disagreed which is her right and gave her opinion.

Someone has lost their job due to giving their opinion. If it was offensive/racist he would have deserved to be sacked.....or am i missing something?
I know people don’t like him - i get that, but a lot of people liked him because he would be outspoken.

if an opinion is not allowed within as you say the bounds of code of conduct then I fail to see what the issue is but in this world we now live in you are cancelled quickly by the woke if you offend them.
You saw in this thread how quickly CB a pure woke stalwart called me a c.....t because I offended him or he didn't wish to debate on a matter because I was critical of his new girlfriend ( probably because she lives in sunny CA (lol)).
I believe both should put up or shut up and in her case she has inferred someone in the FIRM as she describes them is a racist and we all know who that is if you read between the lines.
Unfortunately neither will its not required anymore the narrative is all that matters.
Maybe she had the hots for William and he politely told her to take a running jump (LOL).
Wokes are divisive that is all ,they contribute nought to humanity when it comes to the issues that really matter , its advancement and learn nothing from history to better the lives who who they intentionally and both viciously and deceptively attempt to cancel and are only interesting in tearing down history.
they do in the end turn on each other which is a good thing which is why we still have rule of law in most democracies.
Without it as Plato said we have anarchy and or modern day communism.
Personally and being selfish I wish all wokes took up residence in China they would fit in well with the CCP ideology.
We have an leading politician whose career has been trashed by wokes stating he raped a woman suffering from bipolar disorder who took her own life last year 33 years ago.
The evidence provided by her and those closest to her namely her parents suggests she made the whole story up and already the evidence suggests its a mere which hunt to rid a career for the sake of it.
no evidence to support the claim has been made to date.
Gone is the rule of law any one can make any allegation and have the career of the accused ruined regardless of whether there is a shred of evidence to support the claim or not even when police finalise the allegation and cannot proceed further.

I never liked Morgan but the media need a voice that will challenge people in positions of power or privilege. He probably crossed the line but we are living in a Puritanical renaissance where any view not meeting a woke agenda is shouted down. The Twitterati ,BBC ,Sly ,ITV Channels 4 & 5 are all fully signed up to the cancel culture. The lame questioning by the media in Covid briefings of Johnson ,Twitty et al is symptomatic of how this approach looks.

Anyone that thinks in binary terms and applies that to life situations is divisive as life isn’t like that. Morgan is a prime example of someone that’s used that to fashion his whole career.
